We had a great 4th! Delvin's two little brothers, Junior & Pasia, came for a visit and are staying with us for a few weeks. We also had our friend, Jesus and his 3 daughters over - they had a great time jumping on the trampoline (anyone know where to buy the blue pads to cover the trampoline springs? Obviously ours is a disaster!)
Delvin and the boys went to Boom City (huge firework place on the reservation) again and got some great stuff. We had two that misfired, tipped over and shot out on the ground, which was quite scary, but no one injured and we had a great show! Our neighborhood was rocking as usual - we'll never leave town on the 4th - no better place than Marysville for fireworks!!!!
The 5th was Junior's 13th Birthday - we made him "The World's Ugliest Cake". It was darn ugly, but it tasted good - that's the important part! He thought it was funny too - it was a fun day as well!

Most of the Trampoline Surround pads I saw online were $70-$100. Since they are alot of money it's probably not worth buying one. My familie's trampoline doesn't have a blue surround pad.
That's what I saw too - that's so rediculous!!! I only paid $200 for the trampoline and they want $99 for the pad - it makes me angry - I want the pad though because I'm worried Mason's foot will go right between the springs - he's really good about being cued by the blue to not walk there. . .GRRRRRR - I will have to figure something out!
Yikes! I'm glad no one got hurt with the fireworks mishap! That happened to us one year and Wonderella ended up in the hospital with bad burns!!
Looks like you guys had fun!
I miss Marysville 4th of July!!!!!
We didn't do any fireworks to celebrate but we did go out town to the other side of the island and play with monkeys.
It looks like you guys had tons of fun. You're right... that cake looks hideous, but I'm sure it was super delicious if you made it :)
Kamilli - I was so worried about that - I've worked in the burn center and believe me I would never want to end up there with a child - it's hard enough to cover up there at times, but to have a child there would be a horrid experience!!!
Kristy - keep enjoying those monkeys!!! How fun!
