After our California family adventure I took the two little boys on a plane to Utah to visit my sister and her kids. I thought I might be very crazy to take the two of them on a plane by myself. . .the plane ride wasn't bad, it was the Long Beach Airport that was awful! I thought if I flew out of a smaller airport it would be a lot easier than going out of LAX - boy was I wrong!! No matter, we had a lot of fun on the plane. Mason stayed in his seatbelt the entire ride! My kids were not the ones crying on the plane! I think it was a pretty successful flight!
Carson's first flight!!!
We sat in the last row of the plane and so were the last ones off the plane. Mason ran up the aisle and right into the cockpit!! The co-pilot was in there and was so cool - he took Mason right in and let him play!! When it was time to leave he said he had something special for him, so Mason was so curious he didn't throw a fit about having to leave. He was soooooo excited to get his wings from the pilot!!!When we got to my sisters we colored eggs and had a fun Easter day! We were so excited to find out that cousin Claire helped the Easter Bunny make stuffed animals for the boys!!!
We had to wake Amy up by putting Carson on top of her! Afterall, he is the age that Amy was when Lisa used to do the same to me! Loved it!
The cousins!!! I should've stayed out of this picture!!! EEK
We visited a classic car museum in downtown SLC. I had to get this picture of Aidan! My favorite was the Duesenburg!! As interesting as this place was, it was a terrible idea to go there. . .we weren't allowed to touch the cars and Mason is in a car phase where he think every car is "his". He was going wild for all these fun cars and so mad when I wouldn't let him touch them, get inside or "drive" his car!! "I drive my car, mom."
This one cracked me up!!! Mason fell asleep inside of the pillowcase with the pillow on top of him!! What a funny kid!
We got to spend a few hours visiting my long time friend, Allison and her twins. Allison and I we're inseparable from the age of 3 into our teenage years - was so good to see her!!
Mason is infatuated with fire trucks, so this little riding fire truck made him very happy. Aunt Lisa is the best!!! Our friend "Jones" came to see us too!! He helped Mason learn to roller skate. . .ok, well he pushed Mason around on the roller skates while Mason had a very apprehensive look on his face - so funny!
Our flight home was delayed so we were able to meet some astronauts and take a trip to the moon while we waited!!
The flight home was not quite as easy as on the way there. . .Mason discovered he could undo his seatbelt quite easily and thought it was so fun to stand up and check things out. . .it was alright though, still I wasn't the one with the crying kids on the plane and I was grateful for that!!
What a fun little trip!! I hope we don't have to wait 2 more years to see them again!!!
