SNOW SNOW EVERYWHERE!

The snow is so unusual for us - This is the first year in the past 7+ years we've lived in Washington that the snow has stayed on the ground for more than 1 or 2 days. It's been over a week and it's not just a tiny bit of snow - we have at least 18+ inches of it - it is soooo much fun! I've gotten called off work twice now and numerous places are shut down, school was closed the last three days before the winter break. It's so different, but really quite fun! Delvin decided to be original he would build our snowman on the roof!!!
Saturday, we went to my brother's house to play in the snow with them - the drive was sooooo beautiful! We rarely have temperatures below freezing - it's been well below freezing for over a week.
We had a lot of fun in the snow. . .my brother and Delvin built a ramp of snow up to a tree stump and we had a blast flying off of it. . .Aidan was the first who decided to go down it backward. . .he ended up going down without the sled - it was hilarious!
Aidan got very adventurous on the hills! I was very proud of his adventurous side!!!!!

My snow boys!!

Ha, Ha, Ha. That's funny that Delvin built a snowman on your roof! You're right about how unusual this is for our area. We are so snowed in that even the postal service couldn't live up to their "Neither snow nor rain . . ." Our mailman finally came to our neighborhood for the first time in a week. Good thing too. I was waitin' for some presents.

Leave it to Delvin to be original and funny!
We enjoy looking at your blog and the Christmas, er, New Year blogspot!

We think of you guys a lot - Bob started a new pineapple pland & said if this plant produces a pineapple we'll have to go to Washington to eat it! :)

May 2009 bring joy and prosperity to your family!
Love,
The Banta Family
